Le PRF est un matériau thermodurcissable
renforcé de fibres de verre. Des additifs sont
ajoutés aux résines afin d’en améliorer les
propriétés. Cette combinaison fait du PRF un matériau de haute performance : ses propriétés de
résistance (mécanique et chimique) et sa masse volumique en font un matériau de choix et une
excellente alternative aux métaux. / PRF is a thermosetting material reinforced with glass fibers. Additives are
mixed to the resins in order to improve their properties. This combination makes PRF a high-performance material. Its
properties of strength (mechanical and chemical) and its density also make PRF a material of choice and an excellent
alternative to metals.
IIl est principalement utilisé dans l’industrie chimique, pétrolière, alimentaire, des pâtes et papiers
ainsi que dans les usines de traitement et dans les centrales électriques. Membres de la famille des
thermodurcis, les FRP sont des polymères renforcés de fibre de verre. Un additif ou une couleur
peuvent être ajoutés aux résines pour en modifier les propriétés. / It is mainly used in the chemical, petrol,
food, and pulp and paper industries as well as in processing plants and power plants. Member of the thermoset family,
FRPs are fiberglass-reinforced polymers. Additives or colours can be mixed to the resins to modify their properties.
